Why this site exists
Rental portals answer “where is a room?”. Almost none of them answer “who will I be living with, and will we get along?” — which is the thing that actually decides whether a shared flat works.
Three things we do differently
We publish the sample size, not just the number
Every rent and deposit figure here carries how many real listings it came from and the month it was collected, and it is refreshed quarterly. Where we do not have verified data for an area, we publish nothing rather than an estimate. A number you cannot check is worse than no number.
We filter on the things that cause arguments
Food, smoking, cleanliness, guests, sleep schedules, whether someone works from home. Other sites collect some of this and then only let you filter by gender. Matching on hobbies is decoration; people fall out over the kitchen.
Nothing sits here going stale
Listings expire after 14 days unless someone renews them. You will not find a room that was taken eight months ago, because it is not here any more.
How we make money
Right now, we don’t. Posting and browsing are free and there is no brokerage. When that changes we will say so plainly on this page rather than discovering it as a paywall halfway through contacting someone.
Where we operate
Gurgaon only. Density is what makes a flatmate marketplace work — fifty rooms in one corridor is useful, five thousand spread across India is not. We would rather be genuinely good in one city than thin everywhere.
We are not the Facebook group
There are several Facebook groups with similar names. We are not affiliated with any of them, do not republish their posts, and do not copy anyone’s phone number onto this site.
If you live in Gurgaon, you know more than we do
What you pay, what your society allows, what the water situation actually is in summer. That is the data no portal has. Tell us and we will use it.
